High Sierra Wilder

I really think this backpack looks sharp in Blue Velvet and Pacific, but there were a number of other options that were just as pretty, like the pink plaid or the earthy "Forgotten Flower" pattern. This is another slim looking pack that will hold up to a 17-inch laptop computer, but it has a lot more bells and whistles than the Belkin. It features a zippered slash pocket and organizer compartment in the front, large mesh compartments for water bottles or extra storage, and padded back panel and shoulder straps. A hook and loop closure secures the cell phone pocket built into the shoulder strap. Secure pockets will also hold both an MP3 player and a PDA.

DaKine Girls Wonder Pack
Because girls can skateboard too, this DaKine backpack is a great option for your high school student. The bag comes in a huge variety of styles, from dark solids through bright floral or geometric prints. The pink plaid is hot, as are the brilliant poppy red of the Island Floral and the tie-dye look of Watercolor. The pack has bungee storage and board straps on the front, and side mesh pockets to carry water bottles or extra gear. While not designed for toting around computers or large textbooks, this is a pack that will appeal to an athletic girl who needs to carry a few paperbacks or small notebooks, extra clothing, and other small gear. The secret sunglasses pocket has a very large capacity, and by itself will hold several electronic devices as well as the glasses.

DaKine Scooler Backpack and Lunch Bag
This backpack and lunch bag ensemble is stunning in the cobalt Monoblue, but comes in a range of dark shades and cool patterns too. It's great for the girl who always has trouble keeping it all together - or for a very together girl who appreciates coordinating pieces. The insulated lunch bag fits into a front compartment of the backpack, or can be carried separately. Side expandable mesh pockets can be used to carry beverages or other gear. The pack also includes a sunglasses pocket and bungee storage with reflective details, a great feature for a girl who often leaves school after dark.
