Posted: 14 May 2010 08:30 PM PDT

Hot Female Celebrities!

MAXIM magazine names the hottest girls they want to have move in next door --

Ladies, if your name is on this top 20 list, you can almost guarantee your name will be on every A List party in the 2010 year.

Maxim has named their picks for the top 100 hottest women in Hollywood, and the top stars listed here are the ones who's stars will be on the Hollywood Walk of Fame shortly if they are not there already.

Having your name listed here and professional photos done for MAXIM is quite an accomplishment for any model, singer, musician, or actress -- at least when it comes to being recognized internationally as the top covergirls for the youth and beauty movement.

The list helps define the current year standards used to evaluate the trophy wives market for many SoCal to New York City readers in their target demographic.

MAXIM NAMES TOP 100 HOT FEMALE CELEBRITIES

Monsters and Critics checked out the list, and here is what they had to share. M&C had to say about the list choices and some of the girls who were named on it:

Katy Perry has been named the world's hottest woman.

The 'I Kissed A Girl' hitmaker - who is engaged to Russell Brand - topped the annual Maxim Hot 100 list for being "sexy and talented", narrowly beating Victoria's Secret model Brooklyn Decker and 'Avatar' actress Zoe Saldana into second and third place respectively.

Explaining her top ranking, the US men's magazine said of Katy: "She's the best friend you suddenly realize you've loved your whole life. The rad chick who taught you to skateboard and whistle and also looks unbelievable in a bikini."

Making up the rest of the top five were 'Gossip Girl' star Blake Lively, and 'Transformers' beauty Megan Fox, while 'Russian Roulette' singer Rihanna, George Clooney's girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis, actress Olivia Munn, socialite Kim Kardashian and model Marisa Miller made up the rest of the top 10.

Monsters and Critics also noted, "Last year's Maxim Hot 100 number one Olivia Wilde scraped in at number 20, while notable absentees included Beyonce Knowles and Lady Gaga."

One thing they forgot to mention? Katy Perry is a mom and aced out Angelina Jolie for the top spot.

Girl's dad urges hit-run driver to 'step up' - Orange County Register

Posted: 13 May 2010 04:18 AM PDT

DANA POINT –The father of a 7-year-old girl who was run over asked the hit-and-run driver to come forward and talk to investigators about the accident that left his daughter in critical condition.

"The person needs to step up and be responsible," said Joseph Cope, who drove his daughter to a Laguna Beach hospital after she was run over while skateboarding with friends. "I can't imagine their conscience or the guilt of running over a girl."

As of Wednesday morning, 7-year-old Tabatha Cope remains hospitalized and in critical condition as family members wait to find to find out if she will need to undergo additional surgery, Cope said.

Tabatha suffered several broken bones, including a collar bone and ribs. Because of the crash, she has lost most of her teeth and suffered a lacerated liver. She regained consciousness Tuesday morning in CHOC Hospital in Mission Viejo, where she was taken from Laguna Beach because of the extent of her injuries.

"The fact my daughter is alive is a miracle in itself," Cope said.

Cope described his daughter as an active girl with a quick wit, the youngest of four siblings who likes climbing trees and meeting people.

"She's a suck-it-up type of girl – a fighter," Cope said.

Tabatha and 15 to 20 friends were playing near the area of Silver Lantern Street and La Paz Avenue Monday evening at about 6:30 p.m. when the crash occurred, authorities said.

Described as an active and friendly girl with blonde hair, Tabatha was riding a skateboard at the intersection when she was hit by the vehicle.

"She said, 'I looked both ways,' she crossed and out of nowhere there was the truck," Cope said. "She doesn't remember much more."

A 6-year-old friend ran to Tabatha's 13-year-old sister who picked up Tabatha and ran uphill to their Dana Point home. Joseph Cope put her in a car and drove to the nearest hospital.

According to authorities, a man driving a truck similar to the description given by authorities stopped and asked about Tabatha, but left the area.

The truck involved in the hit-and-run was described by witnesses as a light colored, raised pickup truck or military-style vehicle with a blue stripe.

Speaking to reporters outside of the hospital where his daughter is being treated, Cope asked the driver to trust authorities.

"He's probably fearful and scared of the consequences," he said. "Trust the judicial system."

Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at 949-425-1860 or 949-770-6011.

My Favorite Weekend: Clint Black - Los Angeles Times

Posted: 14 May 2010 04:34 PM PDT

Singer Clint Black is wearing some different hats these days. His Stetson's still firmly in place when he's in country-music mode, as he will be Saturday night at South Coast Winery in Temecula. But he's also donned an actor's cap, starring with Patrick Warburton in "Flicka 2," just out on DVD.

"I had the best time making it," he admitted, "and as the dad of a 9-year-old, it's nice to bring something home the family can watch together. It sparks some good conversations."

And here's what he had to say about wearing his leisure toque during a weekend in L.A. with actress-wife Lisa Hartman and daughter Lily.

Wide open spaces

One place we like to spend time with Lily is Holmby Park, over on Beverly Glen between Sunset and Wilshire. There's a playground there and a nice, big walking area. But she's getting to the age where she's not going to have much fun there without bringing along her skateboard.

But we also like to hang around the Grove. Lily used to like American Girl, though now maybe she's getting a little old for that. But the Grove is still a nice place to walk around and sit by the water, get a bite to eat or catch a movie.

A matter of taste

There's a great breakfast place just east of the Beverly Center called Joan's on 3rd. You can make a 9-year-old real happy going there. The sweets, you know, big-time. My wife Lisa will get egg whites and spinach with some fruit. She's always leaned toward a Pritikin-type diet. Some of us have to push ourselves but she's already there. So if I'm trying to be healthy, I'll get an egg-white omelet with bell peppers and tomatoes. Otherwise I'll eat just about anything. Anything but mushrooms.

For fun, we love a place in Hermosa Beach called the Comedy & Magic Club, and we also like the Hollywood Bowl and Greek Theatre for music. And I saw Boston and Styx at Universal the last time they were there. I have pretty wide musical tastes.

The In Crowd

For just the two of us, we really like Sushi Roku on 3rd Street, but good luck getting in. I'll have my assistant call and drop somebody else's name: "Hello, I'm calling from Tom Hanks' office and he'd like to get Clint Black and his wife a table, please."

But if that doesn't work, we also like the sampler platter at Hamburger Hamlet.

Sunday with Tony

For a nice Sunday brunch with the family, we'll go to Taverna Tony's in Malibu. We've been taking Lily there since she was a baby. The belly dancers aren't shaking it yet that early, and we like to sit outside. I've always loved the stuffed grape leaves and the big steak fries. And of course Lisa always gets the grilled fish with no sauce or butter or oil. I'll admit, I'm kinda jealous of her discipline.
