Police blotter for May 6 - Telegraph Posted: 06 May 2010 05:05 PM PDT ALTON - A teenage boy who offered to fix a 13-year-old girl's skateboard Sunday at Hellrung Park instead disappeared with the board. The girl first waited a bit after the youth walked away to the west toward Central Avenue, carrying her skateboard. She then looked for the suspect and telephoned her mother when the boy did not return to the park, an Alton Police Department report says. The mother called police about 5 p.m. Sunday. The report says the suspect is white, with curly brown hair, sideburns, about 16 or 17 years old and wearing a red shirt. The skateboard is a black Dark Star brand with green flames painted underneath and green wheels. WOOD RIVER - Brian M. Bloemker, 25, of the 700 block of Acton Avenue, Wood River, was charged Wednesday with unlawful possession of a controlled substance. He allegedly possessed cocaine on April 18. Bail was set at $15,000. WOOD RIVER - Kaitlyn A. Bechel, 20, of the 300 block of Douglas Street, East Alton, was charged Wednesday with unlawful possession of a controlled substance. She allegedly possessed heroin in Wood River on April 1. Bail was set at $15,000.
