| Teen on skateboard hit by truck - KXLY Posted: 03 May 2010 07:36 AM PDT Posted: 7:40 am PDT May 3, 2010Updated: 5:05 pm PDT May 3, 2010 SPOKANE VALLEY -- Spokane Valley police are investigating an accident at the intersection of 4th and Sullivan where a pedestrian was struck by a truck while crossing the street.Investigators say a teenage girl was in the crosswalk and was hit by a truck. Officers believe the truck had a green light and the girl should not have been crossing the street.She was transported to the hospital with multiple fractures on the right side of her body. SPOKANE VALLEY -- A 15 year old girl was hit by a truck this morning on Sullivan near the intersection of 4th in Spokane Valley. Emergency officials on the scene told our news crew the girl was riding on a skateboard when she was hit just before 7:00 a.m. The girl was taken to the hospital by ambulance. It's unknown right now the extent of her injuries. Police and deputies are still on the scene investigating. No word so far if the driver faces any charges. The accident is currently blocking southbound traffic on Sullivan through that area, the northbound lanes are open.
